Our client is a leading Construction and Facilities Management group with an excellent reputation across the region. We are looking for an experienced GM – Integrated Facilities Managementto be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Job Overview

  • Lead and oversee all business unit operations, responsible for the overall success of the business.
  • Act as a strategist and a leader steering the company to the most profitable direction while also implementing its vision, mission and long-term goals. Poses exceptional crisis management and project management skills.
  • The role will ensure the company is constantly moving towards fulfilling its short-term and long-term objectives and does not diverge from its strategic guidelines.
  • The role will report into the CEO and will have multiple business unit heads who manage Facility Management and support services report to him/her.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company’s business strategies to attain the goals of the board and shareholders
  • Provide strategic advice to the CEO so that they will have accurate view of the market and the company’s future
  • Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and market development activities
  • Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are always followed
  • Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, business partners and authorities
  • Oversee the business units’ financial performance and other business ventures
  • Analyze all performance reports by managers to reward performance, prevent issues and resolve problems
  • Act as the public speaker and public relations representative of the company in ways that strengthen its profile
  • Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth
  • Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project along with the business unit heads, and arrange for recruitment or assignment of personnel as per project requirement
  • Develop, monitor and review annual and life-cycle replacement maintenance programs, establish policies and procedures and negotiate contracts
  • Responsible for all staff and subcontractors on site, together with the financial and operational performance of the contract
  • Responsible to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with customers and employees
  • Involved in setting staffing levels in compliance with business specifications and monitoring them to enable the delivery of efficient and effective services
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to review on-going, trouble-shoot areas needing corruptive action, issues related to employees, etc.
  • Responsible to develop, coordinate and evaluate the implementation of monitoring and inspection programs to ensure an appropriate level of customer service are met
  • Develop and lead the digital transformation strategy for the FM business in partnership with the CEO and support functions
  • Lead the technological advancement agenda for the FM business and leverage best practice tools
  • Drive the change management agenda in the organization
  • Effectively manage the project P&L and drive to achieve optimum profits
  • Ensure that the day to day activities for all projects are intact by close coordination and leadership to the Business unit heads
  • Ensure to partner with business development team to drive business / project growth in multiple sectors

Essential Requirements

  • Degree qualified, preferably Masters
  • 15+ years experience
  • 5+ years in GM/ MD/ CEO level role
  • Must have experience in large multinational companies
  • Strong knowledge of Integration Facility Management
  • Demonstrable experience in developing strategic and business plans
  • Thorough knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the company
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance
  • Familiarity with corporate law and management best practices and technology enhancement
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Open to Arab nationals in Saudi now, or recently in Saudi

Salary/Compensation

  • Salary to be used as a guide only and will reflect experience levels and interview performance
  • Salary as a guide up to 70k SAR per month total package
