The Strategic Planning Manager provides overall strategic direction in regards to the Bank’s function and is responsible for assisting business partners in the analysis of new business ideas and efforts leading to new or improved business style. Develop and oversee strategic business goals to align with the Bank’s long term strategic plan.
Assess performance management and performance against competitors, planning methodologies and the production of a strategic review. Works closely with the Executive team to develop and implement long-range strategic objectives.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Make major strategic recommendations to management through presentation of proposals that analyze internal operating of the Bank procedures, user groups and customer trends, pricing cost and internal/external technology and procedures needed to effect change
- Develop and manage a strategic, and development planning program of work that helps the Bank achieve national and regional targets
- Develop metrics to support the performance management of commissioned services and provide pro-active monitoring reports which fit with national and local performance frameworks
- Serves as the Bank’s Lead Business Strategist with overall responsibility for the long-range direction of technological planning and development
- Develop and manage a strategic planning program of work that helps the Bank achieve national and regional targets
- Responsible for consistent execution of strategic planning, process management, process improvement, Implementation of Business Excellence methodologies, processes and programs to achieve business excellence
- Undertaking evaluations on the effectiveness, efficiency, equality, acceptability and appropriateness of specific services strategies
- Managing the Business Planning and delivering actions and key objectives contained within the team service/work plan
- Provide intelligent analyses to demonstrate performance against key targets, evidence issues that need to be addressed in performance management discussions and to enable evidence based approach to all decision making
- Deliver Risk Management strategy by providing specialist advice on strategic and development planning
- Provides leadership on key department projects including development of project implementation plans/schedules, resource requirements, and deployment/allocation of resources

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in business/ banking/ finance or relevant discipline
- 13 years+ banking experience
- 10 years of experience in strategic planning in financial services organization
- At least 3 years experience in Islamic products management
