PLANT MANAGER: CEMENT- Based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Our client is a global leader in the Cement industry and is looking for a very experienced Plant Manager to join their KSA team. This position will report directly to the GM and should have at least 5 years in a Management position.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Responsible for maintaining a safe work place for all employees, environmental control within the limits of available resources, administrative matters excluding government interface, technical issues related to projects and operations and the daily operation of the factory.
•Completes special projects assigned by the General Manager for Technical Affairs.
•Management responsibilities include preparation of annual operating budgets for Board approval, establishing necessary policy and procedures for smooth operation, recommendation of capital spending projects for upgrading and improving site assets, assuring adequate qualified staff and cost reduction.
•Provides leadership and direction to achieve all targets.
•Direct subordinates to decide on broad administrative, operating and policy issues.
KEY DUTIES:
•Responsible for safety, health and environmental activities including implementation of policies and procedures to provide a safe work place.
•Responsible for manufacturing maintenance, technical engineering support, product quality control, administrative and human resources.
•Responsible for assuring available staff are qualified and capable when safely completing necessary work to appropriate standards by completing staff planning and executing necessary recruitment.
•Consults with the General Manager on deviations to agreed policies and financial matters
•Responsible to assure reliable and safe equipment operation according to cement industry standards.
•Responsible for maintenance practices and procedures as necessary to assure equipment condition remains sound and efficient.
•Assures produced cement meets required specifications and market requirements.
•Reviews raw material reserves and recommends action to assure adequate low cost supplies are available to sustain capacity production for the economic life of the plant.
•Maintains sound employee relations and moral for a work force of properly qualified Managers, Chiefs, Engineers, Supervisors, Foremen, Technicians, Craftsmen and workers.
•Provides general direction to planning and co-ordination of Saudi national training and development.
•Initiates actions to improve profit performance.
•Prepares and reviews annual operating budget according to policy and under the guidance of the General Manger.
•Completes special projects as required and all duties assigned by the General Manger.
• Complies with company policy and the laws of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
•B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or other Engineering fields.
•10-15 years experience in the cement industry with 2 to 3 years as Plant Manager
OR 10-15 years experience in the cement industry including 5- 7 years in senior supervisor positions.
•Excellent English writing, speaking and reading ability.
•Computer familiarity and working knowledge.
