MARKETING MANAGER

Heading up the Marketing activities and responsible for a Brand Manager and Marketing Specialist, this is a rare opportunity to join an industry leader.
Key Objectives:
•
Leading the marketing activities with a view towards enhancing the profile of our client as a leading furniture company in KSA by establishing, leading,
and monitoring the execution of marketing & communication plans, promoting revenue growth and long term strategic positioning in line with the
company’s vision and strategic goals
•
Driving standardization in marketing activities including the development & execution of strategies and tactics related to brand management, advertising &
media, public relations, external communication, e-marketing, branding, pricing & market research activities to ensure they are consistent with the strategic
direction across the kingdom.
Strategy & Business Alignment
•
Participate in the business strategy planning workshops/ sessions alongside the sales, finance, and top management.
•
Prepare Marketing Department’s budget & manpower plan to be approved by the GM
•
Monitoring the Marketing Department's performance against pre-set performance goals to ensure that progress is being made in the desirable direction and
preventive/ corrective actions are taken accordingly, this to be achieved through setting performance goals/measures and cascading them down to each
brand
•
Contributing to the core business related decision making process as an instrumental member of the senior management committee
•
Recommending appropriate changes in marketing strategy when such changes serve the best interest of the company
Executive & Technical Duties
•
Overseeing the marketing research and analysis activities to aid in decision making for short term plans
•
Providing input to assist in the development and implementation of pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness of products across different territories
•
Contributing in defining and improving product offerings/components by understanding customer perceptions and buying preferences through market
analysis, sales information, and specialized surveys
•
Building a sub-function in coordination with the sales department that is concerned with CRM in order to build a comprehensive useful customer database,
enhance customer satisfactions level, and handle any complaint
•
Serving as the custodian of the company’s different brands and establishing brand management/visual identity policies & procedures to be implemented by
each brand manager
•
Leading the development & maintenance of a unified advertising and promotion program that spans all types of media opportunities to contribute in
building brand identities and raising the customers awareness through effective programs
•
In close coordination with the each brand manager, setting up annual and periodic brand’s plan including the analysis of demand, the how and when to
decide on the reorder points, promotions, presentations, visits to the mother company… etc and monitoring its progress and level of achievement
•
Setting the vision of interactive marketing activities and define its online, mobile, and direct mail business proposition
•
Developing and managing strategic interactive communication plans for potential and existing customers
•
Serving as the marketing single point of contact to appropriate technology support
•
Proactively initiating relationship-marketing efforts designed to inform the market and to support the sales activities
•
Utilizing traffic and campaign performance analysis to develop effective web, mobile, and direct mail initiatives
•
Working with the in-house CRM & IT functions to optimize the usage of existing customer database and ensure company’s website is up-to-date
•
Preparing and seeking the approval on a comprehensive annual media plan of the company after negotiating rates with different agencies and
recommending the most effective one
•
Overseeing the maintenance of databases of media related preferred agencies and all promotional activities
•
Assuming full responsibility of negotiation with media, press, and magazines to bargain the best possible advertisement as planned
•
Supervising daily marketing activities of all brands in liaison with brand managers
•
Tying brands budgets based on different criterion (targets, profitability, management vision,…etc), monitoring its achievement, and assessing effectiveness
•
Continuously visiting the showrooms to stay in touch with the consumer perceptions and preferences
Administrative Duties
•
Conducting periodic meetings with subordinates within the Marketing Department to ensure that priorities are clear and the workflow is running
smoothly
•
Conducting interviews with candidates to fill vacant positions at the marketing department structure
•
Conducting performance appraisal for immediate reports prior to their end of contract date and recommend necessary actions, where deemed necessary
•
Following- up on employees administrative affairs such as vacations, leave, late reporting to job...etc and taking corrective actions/ penalties, where deemed
necessary
•
Recommending appropriate training courses for employees in addition to evaluating the effectiveness of the training and the implications on departmental
and individuals performance
Communication Channels
Internal Employment Relations:
•
Continuously coordinating with the sales managers to jointly analyze collected market data and agree on promotional set-ups and brands management
•
Coordinating with the Personnel & Admin Function for pending issues with regard to hiring new employees, employees rights, salaries deductions,
penalties…etc, where deemed necessary
•
Coordinating with the IT Function to accommodate any requested change in the system
•
Coordinating with the Finance Department to ensure pending payments are planned and settled
External Employment Relations:
•
Coordinating with the media/research agencies to agree on the annual media plan, periodic transactions, and required data from the market.
•
Coordinating with the industry associations to get the latest updates, attending exhibitions,…etc
•
Continuously coordinating with brands companies to select the models, keep up a good relations…etc
Required Educational Level:
•
B.A in Management or Business or Marketing
•
MBA graduates with specialization in Marketing are preferred
Required Experience:
•
A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in a managerial position, with at least 3 years in a marketing Management role in the furniture industry or at least
from within KSA
•
Fluent Arabic/ English speaker
Knowledge/ Awareness Requirements:
•
In-depth knowledge of the marketing, branding, and corporate communication functions in the retail business, preferably in the furniture industry
•
Sufficient knowledge in market research and analysis
•
PC Literacy including the ability to work with Microsoft Office Applications
•
Basic knowledge in finance
•
Knowledge in sales processes especially with the retail side (showrooms)
•
Awareness in the visual identity management
