Our client is a leading manufacturing company based outside of Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. They specialize in industrial, cement, oil & gas and manufacturing and are currently expanding their team by looking for a new Head of Marketing/ Marketing Manager.
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
The successful candidate at this level is concerned with the strategic impact of marketing activities on the business. Is responsible for the management of the market development section’s staff and the generation of product brand building ideas in addition to the provision of advice on trends, pricing and competition.
KEY DUTIES:
- Responsible for studies and new product development projects
- Advice on marketing strategy and plans
- Monitors Market Development staff performance
- Advice on pricing and competitive situations
- Oversee the development budget ensuring resources are available and allocated as required
- Responsible for marketing plans and strategy ensuring this is communicated clearly and feeds into the company’s strategic and business plans
- Lead the planning of marketing activities after consideration of price, promotion and product elements
- Lead and manage the market development team ensuring the production of innovative ideas based on market figures and facts and the maintenance of high staff performance
- Build and foster relationships externally with key customers and other third party institutions
- Champion the customer value management system ensuring people understand purpose and work towards it
- Commission and oversee the production of marketing related studies and reports into pricing, product development and competitiveness
- Advice on pricing and financing options for existing and potential clients and as congruent with pricing and market studies
- Oversee new product development projects in conjunction with other sections and departments such as production, QC and customer relations
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- An undergraduate degree in Marketing or Business
- Minimum 7-8 years experience in market research or marketing operations
- Experience within industrial/ cement/ production/ oil and gas/ manufacturing/ concrete/ readymix background
- Good communications in Arabic/ English
- Knowledge and understanding of the Saudi Arabian cement industry and market preferred

COMPENSATION/ BENEFITS:
- Base salary up to 20 - 28k SAR per month/ $65 – 90k USD per annum
- Plus accommodation allowance at 25% of base
- Plus transport at 10% of base
