Scope of Work:
Performance of Internal Audits & other special assignments
Accountable For:
Ensuring Internal Audit Assignments are performed in accordance with the Professional Practices Framework of Internal Auditing established by the Institute of Internal Auditors
Key Duties:
• Assist Manager to perform risk assessment within the organisation to facilitate the determination of priorities of audit areas
• Assists Manager in the preparation of the Annual Internal Audit Plan
• Determine the audit scope & objectives, development of internal audit checklist for each area of audit assignment
• Perform the field work of Internal Audits
• Prepare the Internal audit reports prior to submission to the Manager; ascertain that the reports are substantiated by proper & adequate evidence. Ascertain that the audit recommendations are appropriate
• Arrange for exit meeting to discuss the audit findings & report with auditee subsequent to clearance with Manager
• Initiate follow up on agreed actions and responses by auditee to our Internal audit reports
• Participate in the system review assignments for recommending proper & adequate internal control systems to be adopted
Job Requirements:
Education:
Degree qualified- advance/ graduate degree in Accounting/ Finance preferred.
Experience:
5 years minimum Internal Auditing experience
Competencies:
Fluent in English
Strong analytical skills
Good presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Good understanding of compliance practices and regulations
