Our client is a leading banking company providing dealing, managing, custody, arranging, and advising services. They also offer asset management and brokerage services for individual investors; and investment banking, corporate advisory, asset management, and brokerage services for business investors.

JOB PURPOSE

To identify, analyze and respond intelligently to organization’s risks by monitoring Risk Triggers and control response to triggered risks and benefit from the organization’s previous experiences.
As this is a newly formed team, it will be a tremendous opportunity for a high calibre candidate to play a key role within investment division. Reporting to Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, will manage day to day responsibilities of the Risk Management framework

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Contributes to the development of the risk management framework
Works in partnership with the business to facilitate the implementation of the risk framework or certain component parts of the framework across the   business
Provides guidance and monitors the business in the development and maintenance of an adequate, effective and sustainable control environment in the    business
Works with the business to ensure a control culture is embedded in the business
Challenges the business on setting its risk appetite and monitors the direct and indirect operational losses and reputation damage is contained within the    risk appetite of the business
Provides expert counsel to risk colleagues and the business on appropriate design and implementation of the operational risk management framework
Provides consultation and oversight of the risk management framework and matters of risk concerns that arise across the Group
Provides support on risk on Due Diligence teams as necessary for merger and acquisition transactions. May be a member of the Due Diligence Team
Manages and leads risk related projects

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum degree in Risk Management or equivalent

Experience:
At least 7 years experience work experience with extensive exposure of working in an investment banking environment
In-depth knowledge of operational risk management processes and their supporting systems
Supervises and conducts data and trend analysis, oversees output of scenario analysis and has an awareness of operational risk modelling. Provides results   and recommendations to Business Leadership and Risk Colleagues
Possesses an advanced understanding of continuous process improvement methods. Uses knowledge to recommend measures to reduce or minimise  manual and/or redundant efforts in workflows or operational processes
Certified Risk Manager
Demonstrated management skills and leadership capabilities around people management along with excellent communication skills particularly in English.
Personal Attributes and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of risk assessment & analysis techniques.
Strong analytic mindset with direct experience in leading the implementation and on-going usage of enterprise wide risk infrastructure initiatives.
