JOB OVERVIEW:
The Controller of Production is a key member of the company’s senior controlling team and has accountability for the delivery of the production KPI’s across the group. The incumbent will be involved in all aspects of the production- from strategic conception to the delivery and it’s controlling. He will be required to liaise with production & cost accounting teams with varying levels of expertise in providing professional cost & inventory controlling services to the entire company.
To monitor production processes so as to enable efficient utilization of all resources and reduction of waste/ losses, mitigate risks, identify opportunities of improvement within the production & inventory cycle to control the inventory cycle, & analyze production performance.
OVERVIEW OF DUTIES:
•
Comply with all Group Policies & enable the development & implementation of appropriate accounting controls & practices
•
Responsible to develop proper systems & controls
•
Analyze section-wise production against plan, identify over stocked positions & work with Production management to address the issues
•
Follow up the results of the month-end physical inventory check as well as periodic “surprise” checks, analyze & explain variances and ensure that



necessary adjustments are made on basis of findings
•
Working with the Production & Costing teams, enable the development & implementation of an automated & robust cost accounting & controlling system
with the capability to capture & control cost at an SKU level
•
Update of the end to end production & inventory processes
•
Working with Production & Costing teams, critically analyze all production cost components to assess cost-efficiency of various processes & recommend 
rectifying measures to the management in relation to wastage / loss control, uneconomic utilization of resources, possible rationalization of processes
and system, etc;
EDUCATION: Member ICMA, CIMA, ICWA, CMA with Engineering & MBA
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
•
10-15 years experience (multinational preferred) in a large & complex manufacturing environment of which at least the last 5 years should have been as a 
Production Controller or Head of Production
•
Strong technical cost accounting skills; detailed knowledge of latest controlling methodologies & practices
•
Extensive production experience including at a senior supervisory level
•
Experience in working with large, multinational workforce
•
In depth experience in manufacturing module of one of the leading ERP’s e.g. SAP, ORACLE, JDE etc
•
Detailed knowledge of inventory management & production systems
•
Advanced analysis & spread sheeting skills
REQUIRED SKILLS:
•
Familiarity with large & complex production processes
•
Production control, Project Planning, Scheduling & capacity planning
•
Sound knowledge of manufacturing modules & spreadsheet applications
•
Sound knowledge of costing and analytical ability
•
Exposure to modern manufacturing techniques such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, Kanban etc
•
Inquisitive nature that seeks to generate improvements & deliver results
•
Management of large teams
•
Excellent command of English & report writing skills
•
Experience in developing and implementing policies, procedures and systems.
•
Strong negotiation skills
•
Strong exposure to a major ERP system e.g., SAP, JDE, Oracle
